The World
divinationhermeticismkabbalah
Card XXI of the Major Arcana. A dancing figure wrapped in a purple sash holds two wands within a great laurel wreath. The four winged creatures of the evangelists — lion, eagle, bull, and angel — occupy the corners. Upright, The World represents completion, integration, accomplishment, wholeness, and the successful end of a cycle. You have arrived. A new cycle is about to begin at a higher level. Reversed, it warns of incompletion, shortcuts, lack of closure, or delays in reaching a goal. Astrologically linked to Saturn and the element of Earth. The World completes the Fool's Journey — the soul has traveled the full circle and stands ready to begin again, wiser and whole.
