Upright, The Hierophant represents tradition, spiritual wisdom, religious institutions, conformity, and mentorship. He suggests learning from established teachings. Reversed, he indicates rebellion against convention, unorthodox approaches, or questioning authority. Astrologically linked to Taurus and the element of Earth. The Hierophant is the bridge between the divine and humanity — the teacher who transmits sacred knowledge through established forms.
