Tarot
Five of Swords
divination
A smirking figure holds three swords while two defeated opponents walk away. Two swords lie on the ground. Storm clouds fill the sky. Upright, the Five of Swords represents conflict, defeat, betrayal, winning at a cost, and the hollow victory of having won the battle but lost something more important. Reversed, it warns of reconciliation attempts, lingering resentment, desire to move on, or acknowledging past wrongs.
