Pisces (♓)
The twelfth and final sign of the zodiac, spanning February 19 to March 20. Pisces is a Mutable Water sign traditionally ruled by Jupiter and in modern astrology co-ruled by Neptune, the planet of dissolution and transcendence. Symbolized by two Fish swimming in opposite directions, Pisces embodies compassion, imagination, spiritual sensitivity, and the dissolution of boundaries between self and other. In a natal chart, strong Pisces placements indicate a personality that is deeply empathetic, artistic, intuitive, and drawn to mysticism and creative expression. The shadow side includes escapism, martyrdom, and difficulty with boundaries. The Pisces archetype is the Mystic — the one who dissolves into the ocean of collective consciousness. Body rulership: feet and lymphatic system. Pisces is exalted in Venus and in detriment in Mercury. In mundane astrology, Pisces governs hospitals, prisons, and spiritual institutions.
