The planet of expansion, abundance, wisdom, faith, and good fortune. Jupiter is the "Great Benefic" — where it touches, it enlarges, blesses, and brings opportunity. It governs higher education, philosophy, religion, long-distance travel, and the search for meaning. Jupiter rules Sagittarius (exploration and truth-seeking) and traditionally Pisces (faith and transcendence), is exalted in Cancer, in detriment in Gemini and Virgo, and in fall in Capricorn.
